- Duration for Part time: minimum 2 years (5 semesters), maximum 3 years (8 semesters)

- A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) or relevant fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) or relevant fields, who has not achieved CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant fields; OR
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian Government.
English Language Requirements: Academic Rules
All prospective international students must have IELTS Band 5.0 or equivalent
Prospective international students who do not meet the English language requirements may be granted conditional approval. The applicant is given a period of TWO (2) years from the date of registration to meet this English language requirement before commencing study or research. If the student FAILS to meet this English proficiency requirement within the stipulated period, the student will be terminated from the programme of study.
IELTS or equivalent certificates obtained should not be more than 2 years from the date the test is taken and the registration of the study.
TOEFL ITP, PBT and CBT certificates are not accepted into this programme
b. English language requirement exemption may be granted to the following student candidates:
a. Prospective international students who use academic qualifications from Institutions that use English as a full medium of instruction and apply for higher education at UMPSA. Prospective students must submit supporting evidence that has been verified by the previous university;
OR
b. Prospective international students who come from countries that use English as the official language. The list of countries that use English as the medium of instruction
OR
c. Prospective international students who graduated from local universities
OR
d. Prospective international students from Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and South Thailand undergo studies program that uses a language that is similar to the Malay language
OR,
e. Potential International students who have graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction is Malay.
